There are NO cheap hotels in Key West. Look for B&B's on the smaller keys and just visit Key West when needed.

Marathon is not really his area anyway. He's a great guide and I'd recommend fishing with him "if" you're in his area. It's a pretty good haul from Marathon to Key West. Especially down that highway....
